Overview
This Privacy Policy describes how Individual Entrepreneur Fedar Trukhan ("the developer", "we", "us") handles information in connection with the CareTail mobile application and the websites caretail.pet and caretail.app. We are committed to protecting your privacy and your pet's data.
Authentication
CareTail uses Sign in with Apple for account creation and login. We receive only the information Apple provides with your consent (typically your name and email address, or a private relay email). We do not receive or store your Apple ID password.
Data We Store
When you use CareTail, data about your pets is stored securely in our cloud database (powered by Supabase, a managed PostgreSQL service). This includes:
- Pet profiles (name, species, breed, date of birth)
- Reminders and scheduled events
- Weight entries and health notes
This data is linked to your account and protected by Row Level Security policies, meaning only you can access your own data.
Photos
CareTail's photo diary uses your device's iCloud Photos library. Photos are stored in your personal iCloud account — not on our servers. We only store a reference identifier to display photos within the app. If you delete a photo from your Photos library, it will no longer appear in CareTail.
In-App Purchases
CareTail offers optional premium features through auto-renewable subscriptions, managed via the Adapty SDK and Apple's App Store. Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple. The Adapty SDK communicates with Adapty servers to verify your subscription status. Adapty's privacy practices are described at adapty.io/privacy.
What We Do Not Collect
- We do not track your location.
- We do not use analytics or advertising SDKs that track your behavior.
- We do not sell or share personal data with third parties.
Website
The caretail.pet and caretail.app websites are hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may automatically collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security purposes. We do not set cookies or use tracking technologies on the websites.
Data Deletion
You can delete your account and all associated data at any time through the app's settings. Upon account deletion, all pet data stored on our servers is permanently removed. Photos remain in your iCloud Photos library under your control.

Changes
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The latest version will always be available at this page.
